Welcome! The Winter 2009 issue (below) of Rightview Quarterly brings us into our third year of publication! RightviewOnline is produced by the Mid-America Buddhist Association (MABA), a Chan monastery in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. The site is dedicated to dharma in practice and is a companion to Rightview Quarterly magazine. The name Rightview refers to the first step of the Buddha's Eightfold Noble Path.

If you're new to the site, we suggest that you sample the featured articles on this page and then explore the rich content provided in the categories above.

There are ways to practice virtue, many ways to explain wisdom, many ways to meditate. Our aim is to present the essential teachings of the Buddhadharma from various viewpoints in a manner that we hope will be of benefit.

PRESENT VIEW
Editor Xianyang Carl Jerome knows the value and power of words and study, but it's meditation practice that leads us to freedom.
